Chung Collects Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Leia Chung, a sophomore on the Boise State women's golf team, has been named the Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week.
Chung was the individual co-champion at the Pizza Hut-Lady Thunderbird Invitational, firing a 216 (E) to tie for first in the field of 80. Her efforts helped the Broncos capture the team crown, finishing 10 strokes ahead of the second-place squad. This marked her first collegiate tournament title and second-straight event finishing at the top of the leaderboard. She previously finished first at the Feb. 15-16 tri-match against Long Beach State and UC Riverside.
A native of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Chung has five-career top-10 finishes, including three this season. This is her second time garnering Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week honors. She was also recognized on Oct. 18, 2023.
The Broncos return to action March 17-19, competing at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kauai, Hawaii.
