
Bronco Quartet Earns MW Weekly Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seniors Courtney Blackson, Emily Lopez and Adriana Popp and junior Emma Loyim each received a Mountain West Specialist of the Week accolade following their performances in the Broncos' quad meet on March 1.
Blackson was tabbed the Co-Floor Specialist of the Week after scoring a 9.950, tying the school record and her career-high to earn her third win on the event this season and fifth in her career. This is the Elk Grove, Calif., native's 14th career weekly conference award.
Lopez collected Bars Specialist of the Week for the sixth time this season, tying for first on the apparatus with a 9.925. This was her sixth win in the 2024 campaign, extending her career total to a team-best 13. This marks her 23rd career weekly conference honor, also a team-high.
Sharing Co-Floor Specialist of the Week honors with Blackson was Loyim, who was recognized for the second week in a row. She also matched the school record and her career-best score of 9.950. This marked her third career win on floor and fifth career weekly conference honor.
Popp earned Co-Beam Specialist of the Week after winning beam for the third-straight week with a score of 9.900. This gives her a career total of 12 wins on the apparatus, tying for third in program history. The Easton, Pa., native now has 15 career victories and eight career weekly conference accolades.
Boise State will host MW rival Utah State and nonconference foe Oregon State in its final home meet on Sunday, March 17, at noon in ExtraMile Arena.
