
Broncos Take Team Title in St. George as Chung Shares Individual Crown

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Boise State women's golf team finished first at the Pizza Hut-Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday, winning with a score of 894 (+30). The Broncos were led by sophomore Leia Chung, who tied for first individually. Chung fired a 216 (E) to tie with Wyoming's Jadan Gonzalez, earning a share of her first tournament title.
Boise State led after each round of the tournament, improving its score each day. Hannah Lim tied for ninth and Elli Gordon placed 17th for the Broncos, who earned their first team victory since the 2022 Hobble Creek Fall Classic.

- This is the 14th time in program history Boise State has won a tournament. This is the second time head coach Kailin Downs has guided the Broncos to a title, with the first being the Hobble Creek Fall Classic on Sept. 13, 2022.
- Chung is the first Bronco to claim or share a tournament title since Lexi Perry won the Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Sept. 24, 2019. She has five career top-10 finishes, including three this season.
- This is the second-straight event Chung has been at the top of the leaderboard. She was first at the Feb. 15-16 tri-match against Long Beach State and UC Riverside.
- Hannah Lim tied for ninth, her first career top-10 finish. She has five career top-25 finishes.
- Elli Gordon finished 17th, her first top-25 finish of the season and 10th of her career.
