Rueck Finishes as Co-Champion

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's golf fell to Idaho in the inaugural Battle of Idaho, but Cole Rueck closed strong to finish as the Co-Champion of the event, Tuesday at Hillcrest Country Club.
Rueck birdied the sixth and seventh holes to pull even with the Vandals' Joe Sykes, and he made par on his final two holes to finish the 54-hole tournament at 6-over 219 (73-72-74).
With windy conditions, both teams combined for only two rounds at par-or-better.

Notables
- This is the first time Boise State has hosted a home golf event in the Treasure Valley since the Dash Thomas Memorial at Eagle's Banbury Golf Club in 2013-14.
- The format for the dual was play 6, count 4.
- Drew Reinke's 1-under 70 in the first round was the lowest round of the tournament, as he was the only golfer in the field to go under-par.
- Cole Rueck and Reinke led the 12-individual field with 32 pars.
- Rueck was the field -leader in par-3 scoring average at 3.17.
