Blackson Achieves All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas – Boise State senior Courtney Blackson scored a 9.925 on bars in the semifinal at the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships, Thursday afternoon at Dickies Arena.

Blackson's performance marked the highest bars score by a Bronco at nationals in program history. She also tied the highest score on any apparatus at nationals in Boise State history, a record she set last year when she scored a 9.925 on vault to achieve individual national runner-up status.

The Elk Grove, Calif., native shared sixth-place with Arkansas' Reese Drotar, Georgia's Lily Smith, LSU's Haleigh Bryant, Utah's Ella Zirbes and Washington's Skylar Killough Wilhelm.

With her top-eight performance in the first semifinal, Blackson earned a spot on the WCGA All-America First Team.
