BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball head coach Gordy Presnell announced the addition of Libby Hutton to the 2024-25 Bronco roster on Friday.
Hutton, a 6-2 forward, will join the squad after playing for Perry Lakes in Australia's NBL1. Playing in her first season with the Hawks, Hutton is averaging 6.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 53.7% from the field.
Â
"Libby is a high-level trail post that is very multidimensional," Presnell said. "She can handle the ball, pass the ball, shoot the three and post up. We haven't had a lot of players like her and we're excited for her to join the Broncos."
Originally from Perth, Australia, Hutton played on Western Australia's team at the U20 Australian Nationals in 2024, averaging 7.5 points per game. In her last season of junior basketball with Perry Lakes, she averaged 18.8 points per game and led her team to the semifinal round.
Â
Hutton will join guard Dani Bayes as the second member of the team from Australia. She is the second new addition to the 2024-25 Bronco roster alongside Teryn Gardner.Â
Â
"I'm thrilled to join the program at Boise State," Hutton said. "Making the journey from Australia to Boise is an incredible opportunity. The reputation of Boise State's program and warmth of the coaching staff and players have made me feel like a part of the family already. I'm eager to immerse myself in the culture and contribute to the team's success on and off the court."
