BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball added Madeline Cooke to the 2024-25 roster, head coach Gordy Presnell announced on Tuesday.
A graduate of Cole Valley Christian School in Meridian, Idaho, Cooke joins the program as a transfer from The Master's with one year of eligibility remaining. The 2023-24 Golden State Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, the 6-4 center averaged 7.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and an NAIA-leading 3.2 blocks per game. The junior was also named the GSAC Player of the Week on Feb. 5, 2024 after scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Life Pacific.
Cooke faced off against the Broncos last season in an exhibition contest in ExtraMile Arena on Nov. 3. She recorded a double-double against the Blue and Orange, notching 10 points and 13 rebounds while adding five blocks for the Mustangs.Â
Â
"We're excited about Madeline joining the Broncos," Presnell said. "She had a really solid performance against us when we played against her. She's going to provide great length and athleticism to our team."
Cooke joins Teryn Gardner and Libby Hutton as the new roster additions for Boise State.
Â
"I'm really excited for the opportunity to join the team and come back to my hometown," Cooke said. "I have grown up in the Boise area and have always been a fan of Boise State. I am so grateful to be a part of the program and I am looking forward to helping out however I can."
