Cole Rueck Wraps Up Competition at PGA Event

NORTH BERWICK, Scotland – Boise State rising junior Cole Rueck finished two rounds at the PGA Tour's Genesis Scottish Open at 11-over par, 151.
Rueck competed as an amateur at the event. He earned an exemption by winning the Genesis Collegiate Showcase, Feb. 12, at the Riviera Country Club. Rueck won on the second playoff hole after shooting even-par 71 in the lone round of play.
In round one, he made six-straight pars to open the event and was 2-over, 37 on the front nine. He made a birdie on the 14th hole, a par 3 and finished the round at 4-over, 74.
He started his second round on the back nine. He made 10 pars during an 11-hole stretch, but a pair of double bogeys in the round led to a 7-over, 77.
