Loyim Named Mountain West Floor Specialist of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior Emma Loyim was named the Mountain West Floor Specialist of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning.

The honor is awarded to the highest-scoring athlete in each event weekly.

Loyim earned the accolade after a third place finish on the floor, scoring a 9.875. She helped lead Boise State (195.050) to a second place finish ahead of Washington (194.800) and No. 29 UC Davis (193.375), but ultimately fell to Stanford (195.600).

This is Loyim's sixth-career weekly award and fourth that recognizes her performance on floor..

Boise State will return to action on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. MT as the Broncos take on No. 15 Georgia in Athens, Ga.
