BOISE, Idaho — Boise State Super Smash Bros. earned a decisive 2–0 win over Baylor University on Thursday night, energizing the home crowd with a display of composure and coordination inside the Boise State Esports Arena. The victory marked a strong step forward for the Broncos, who continue to build momentum in Power Esports Conference play.

The opening round set the tone early as both teams traded blows in a series of tight exchanges. Boise State's lineup, Eric Labastida (Mada), Tyler  Wills (Supersonic), Nolan Genna (Melfour), and Alexis Arenas (Gookies), stayed poised under pressure, gradually finding rhythm through clean reads and quick adjustments. After an evenly matched start, the Broncos began to pull away behind coordinated team play and well-timed eliminations, closing out Round 1 with a 14–9 victory.

In Round 2, Boise State rode that momentum to an even sharper performance. Supersonic, feeding off the home crowd, ignited an early run with aggressive, high-tempo play that forced Baylor onto the defensive. MADA and Melfour capitalized with consistent combo setups, while Gookies sealed multiple key stocks to maintain control. Baylor battled to respond but couldn't slow the Broncos' rhythm, as Boise State finished the round 14–8 to complete the sweep.

The win improved Boise State to 1–2 in their current series run and showcased a renewed sense of confidence and cohesion.
