BOISE, Idaho – Boise State cornerback Jeremiah Earby was named Old Trapper Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced. Earby had a pair of interceptions and four tackles, all solo, in the Broncos' 24-3 win over Nevada.

Earby is the first Bronco with two interceptions in a game since JL Skinner, who did so against Wyoming on Nov. 19, 2022. He was targeted eight times, limiting Nevada receivers to four receptions and 28 yards. The senior has five career interceptions, including three at Boise State. The Broncos held the Wolf Pack to 148 passing yards and tallied a season-high five takeaways.

This is the first conference honor for Earby and fifth for Boise State this season. Earby and Phelps each earned Defensive Player of the Week, marking the first time since 2022 the Broncos have multiple players earn the award. That year, DJ Schramm, Ezekiel Noa and Skinner were honored. Sire Gaines (Freshman) and Dylan Riley (Offensive, twice) are responsible for Boise State's other MW weekly awards.
