BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's golf signed two student-athletes to its 2026 freshman class, it was announced by head coach David Trainor on National Signing Day.

Justin Anderson (Idaho Falls, Idaho | Thunder Ridge HS)
A native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Anderson joins the Broncos after completing his prep career at Thunder Falls HS. Playing all four years for the Titans, Anderson was coached by his dad, Jeff, who serves as an assistant.

"We are thrilled that Justin decided to stay home and represent the Broncos," said Trainor. "A two-time 6A state champion, Justin is an extremely accomplished player and one we identified a while ago as someone we wanted to bring aboard our Boise State family.  Justin has played a national schedule the last couple of years, and has the experience to come in and help us immediately."

Claiming victory in many tournaments, Anderson has won back-to-back Idaho High School 6A individual state championships. Defending his 2024 title, Anderson shot 4-under in the 2025 tournament and won the event in a playoff.

In 2024 as a junior, Anderson claimed his first state championship. He carded a 72 and 67, en route to a 139 total score.

Held at River Birch Golf Course in Star, Idaho, Anderson was also victorious in the 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier. Defeating 24 participants, Anderson shot a 72 (E) and finished one stroke ahead of second place.

His Amateur Qualifier finish landed him a spot at the IMG Academy Junior Worlds Championships at Torrey Pines. In the three-round event, Anderson carded a 74-77-75—226.

Harry Thomas (Norwich, England)
A well-accomplished golfer, Thomas heads to the Treasure Valley hailing from Norwich, England. From 2023-25, Thomas registered 12 top-10 finishes and three victories in 24 counting events.

"Harry is an extremely accomplished player who has competed on the international stage for several years," Trainor said. "While very accomplished, I think Harry's best golf is ahead of him, and we are thrilled he decided to join our Bronco golf family. Like his future teammate, Justin Anderson, I look for Harry to provide an immediate impact on the golf course."

Thomas' most recent victory came in the Toro Tour Spanish Golf Series #9 tournament, which took place in January 2025. He shot under par in all three rounds and posted a 205 (69-69-67).

In June, Thomas placed second in the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championships. He fired a 70-73-70—213 and rose 17 spots to finish three strokes behind the winner.

Additionally, Thomas also won the Golf College Degree Amateur Champs (February 2024) and UGP WAGR Tour (March 2024). In those two events, Thomas won by a combined five strokes.
