BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Women's Tennis Head Coach Beck Roghaar announced on Wednesday the signing of Valentina Vachková to the Broncos' 2026 recruiting class.
A native of Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, Vachková joins Boise State as one of the top junior players in her country. She has claimed multiple titles in Czech national tournaments and ITF finals, and finished third at the Czech National Championships.
"We couldn't be more excited to add Valentina to our program and family," said Roghaar. "She's an elite fighter and competitor on the court that brings a 'whatever it takes' mentality to everything she does. She's been incredibly successful throughout her junior career at both the national and international level and has the fire and hunger to continue to grow her game in our program. Valentina is a really physical player and brings the highest levels of athleticism to the courts. She loves the people here, and we love how she can't wait to pour into Boise State Tennis."
Throughout her career, Vachková has held an ITF junior ranking of 549, a Czech Republic national ranking of 38, and currently holds a UTR of 9.7. She owns notable wins over an opponent ranked No. 9 in the ITF junior rankings and another who was ranked in the 60s at the time they competed.
"I immediately felt a great connection with Beck," Vachková said. "We communicated really well and have had genuine conversations about the program. Over time, I became 100% sure about my decision, and my visit to Boise only confirmed that it was the right choice. What I love most about the program is the incredible team atmosphere. I think I bring a lot of positive energy and team spirit. I always give my best in practice and matches, and I love supporting my teammates. I also really want to be part of the team because I fell in love with the atmosphere during the matches in Boise. It was something special."
