Broncos Set to Compete at NCAA West Regional

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the NCAA Cross Country West Regional, Friday.

Hosted by Sacramento State, the NCAA West Regional will be held at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California. The women will run a 6k beginning at 10 a.m. MT, followed by the men, who will compete in a 10k at 11 a.m. MT.

NOTABLES

Head Coach Pat McCurry is in his second season at the helm of Boise State's cross country program. He previously served as an assistant with the Broncos from 2016-18, and also was the head coach at College of Idaho and San Francisco.
Entering the West Regional, Boise State's men's team is ranked No. 29 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll top 30. In the same poll, the women's team received votes.
In last year's event, the women finished sixth, tallying 168 points. The men earned a seventh-place finish, notching 181 points.
In 2024, three women finished in the top 25, including Kaiya Robertson who placed ninth.
Dating back to the 2025 Mountain West Championships, Kaiya Robertson, Amit Koma and Bianca Böhnke placed in the top 10. For the men, Meshack Kuyo, Alex Thompson and Patrick Kiprop were top 10.
