BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball remained perfect at home this season with an 86-65 victory over Seattle U at ExtraMile Arena, Friday night.

The Broncos (4-1) raced out to an 11-0 lead and never trailed to improve to 4-0 at home, the last three coming by double figures.

Boise State knocked down five of their first six field goal attempts and did not allow the Redhawks (2-4) to score until 6:40 remained in the opening period. The Broncos led 21-15 after 10 minutes behind seven points and five rebounds from Tatum Thompson.

Boise State extended its lead back to 11 at 28-17 on a putback by Libby Hutton with 7:08 remaining in the first half. The Broncos stretched the advantage to a dozen at 35-23 when Mason Bordering converted a second-change layup with 4:13 left before intermission. The Redhawks responded to cut their deficit to 38-31 at the break.

Seattle U opened the third quarter with five quick points to pull within two, but Boise State answered with a 9-0 run to push the lead to 47-36.

The Redhawks used a 14-4 run to close within 51-50 with 3:23 left in the quarter. This time, Thompson provided the answer. She scored on four of Boise State's next five possessions to spark 10-straight that closed the quarter and put the Broncos on top 61-50.

A bucket by Thompson, two of her game-high 24 points, to begin the fourth quarter extended the run to 12-0 and gave the Broncos a 63-50 lead. Boise State was 10-for-15 from the floor in the final period to close out the victory.
