Boise State Athletics to Undergo Reseating of ExtraMile Arena for Men's Basketball

Boise State will also launch a new, high-energy courtside fan section
BOISE, Idaho - As part of its Pac-12 Readiness Initiative and to create one of the most intimidating environments in all of college basketball, Boise State Athletics will undergo a full reseating of ExtraMile Arena for men's basketball season ticket holders for the 2026-27 season as well as launch a new, high-energy courtside fan section for the most "Blue Collar" fans.
In addition to the arena reseating, men's basketball parking will go through a reallocation process to maximize convenience and get fans as close to the arena as possible.
"We have sold out of men's basketball season tickets in the parquet and mezzanine sections in each of the last two years, which is a testament to Bronco Nation and their unprecedented support of our men's basketball program," said Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State Director of Athletics. "We also want to continue to create one of the best atmospheres in all of college basketball, not just the new Pac-12 Conference, and this calls for investing in our current and future success. We, like so many others in college athletics, are impacted by revenue share with student-athletes, and the resources we need to maintain a winning program and improve the fan experience in ExtraMile Arena call for us to find opportunities outside of our current revenue streams.
"Boise State and Bronco Nation have high expectations, and we do not run from those. In fact, we are grateful for these high expectations. We also want to support those who support us. Our industry has changed, and we have to play the hand we're dealt to the best of our ability. Reseating does not mean our current fans will not have seats. We will have price points for our most Blue Collar fans, especially for those wanting to be a part of our new high-energy, courtside fan section. We want to be intentional in finding a way for all of Bronco Nation to add to our basketball environment and meet the high expectations."
The reseating and parking reallocation process starts with the opt-in period opening up on Dec. 11. Reseating will follow a process based on BAA Priority Ranking System while the seat selection process will take place over the summer of 2026 once season ticket members and prospective members go through an appointment process. The BAA membership levels and priority points will be established between the start of the new BAA Drive Year, starting on January 1, 2026, and through March 31, 2026, which is the opt-in and priority giving deadline for this reseating process.
The BAA Priority Ranking System is a priority points-based system that reflects a BAA member's history of giving and supporting Boise State Athletics. BAA membership levels are established by annual giving and points establish priority within the membership levels.
"I'm grateful for our collective team, including the Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) Board of Directors, the BAA's Reseating Advisory Committee, and our staff, for working diligently on this process and creating a system we believe is equitable for all of Bronco Nation," said Dickey. "The goal is to compete for championships and our mission has always been and will remain the same: to develop our student-athletes to be champions in competition and in life. We appreciate Bronco Nation for understanding this is a part of What's Next as we build EPIC in ExtraMile Arena!"
As part of improving the atmosphere for men's basketball games in ExtraMile Arena, a new courtside zone, within sections P11-P13, will be created for the most passionate, loud, and all-in Bronco fans. The "Blue Chaos" fan section is inspired by the energy of Section TwHELLve that currently exists in ExtraMile Arena and wants to be a complement to the Blue Corral student section. A season ticket in the new fan zone will be $299 and members of the area will be asked to follow rules and expectations such as 75% ticket utilization over a season, actively participate in crowd engagement, and no online resale of tickets.
Interested fans in the "Blue Chaos" fan section can join the waitlist and place a deposit starting today. Fans can also suggest a name for the new section.
Current 2025-26 men's basketball season ticket members will participate in the process by placing a seat deposit by the opt-in deadline of March 31, 2026. Seat deposits are $25 per seat and non-refundable. Members will submit a deposit for the total number of seats they plan to select, and seats may not be added during the opt-in period.
For any non-current season ticket members interested in 2026-27 season tickets, they can join the reseating waitlist for free. Once the priority window for current members closes, those on the waiting list can participate in the same process followed by the current members.
As part of the reseating process, there will also be a Loyalty Bonus for longtime season ticket members. Members who meet either one of the following criteria will receive the bonus:
