
Boise State Announces BroncoPRO Staffing, Structure

BroncoPRO staff will manage NIL services for Boise State student-athletes in preparation for upcoming changes in college athletics
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has announced its BroncoPRO staff as it prepares for the upcoming changes in college athletics pending the final approval of the House settlement. The core NIL group of six team members will focus its vision of driving competitive excellence in the new era of revenue-sharing.
Cody Gougler, currently Boise State's Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, has been elevated to Deputy AD, External Affairs & BroncoPRO Chief Administrative Officer and will lead the department in addition to his current responsibilities in oversight of external affairs."College athletics is changing, but it has been in a constant change for the better part of the last decade-plus, and we at Boise State will stay ahead of the evolution of college athletics by continuing to plan the work and work the plan," said Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State Director of Athletics. "I'm grateful for Cody and all his hard work in leading and planning our new BroncoPRO division, and the rest of the TEAM around him will keep Boise State ahead of the competition and support our Boise State student-athletes in this pending revenue share era of college athletics. Gougler, entering his fifth year at Boise State, will direct all roster and cap management for Boise State Athletics as well as drive new revenue generation opportunities and business development. He will continue to serve the external affairs division for athletics, where he has built a team since arriving in 2021 responsible for producing record attendance, ticket sales, fundraising and corporate partnerships with Bronco Sports Properties. He is also the primary sport administrator for Boise State men's basketball. A former baseball student-athlete at Southeastern Louisiana University, Gougler has a long career in development in college athletics, with stops at Baylor (2017-21), United States Air Force Academy (2015-17), and Southeastern Louisiana (2013-15).
Lou Major, Boise State's Director of Football External Relations, has been elevated to Assistant AD, Football External Affairs & BroncoPRO, and will lead revenue generation, authentic NIL, and franchise efforts for the Bronco football program. Major will also continue as the football program's liaison to the external affairs division and the football external team.Major is entering his 10th year with Boise State football and has served as the Director of Football External Relations since 2022. In his new role, he will work with head coach Spencer Danielson, assistant coaches, and recruiting staff to manage the revenue share cap within football and develop relationships with the Boise business community to create NIL opportunities for Boise State football student-athletes. A former running back for Fresno State, Major was Boise State's Director of Football Operations from 2009 to 2014 and served as the Assistant AD Football, Chief of Staff for Fresno State from 2014 to 2017. His experience includes more than two decades of teaching in higher education and business development for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the Treasure Valley and CA.
Allie Lepori and Michael Thompson, both current members of the Boise State Athletics staff, will serve crucial roles in the strategic execution of BroncoPRO's daily operations. In addition to her current responsibilities serving in the department's personnel services division and leading strategic initiatives for the director of athletics, Lepori's expanded role as Director of Athletics Administration & BroncoPRO will include coordinating daily activities with Boise State coaches and student-athletes as well as authentic NIL activation and business development opportunities. Lepori holds two degrees from Boise State, including a Master's of Athletics Leadership and was a key contributor in forming BroncoPRO in preparation for the pending House settlement.
Thompson will continue in his role as a graduate assistant and will become the organization's main point of contact for student-athlete onboarding and brand development. Thompson, a former Boise State men's basketball student-athlete, has been a part of Boise State Athletics since June 2024 as a graduate assistant for business development and revenue innovation.
Sydney Bruner, a member of Bronco Sports Properties (BSP), is in her third year at Boise State and has spent the last year serving as the partnership services coordinator with BSP. In her new role, she will work closely with BSP and corporate partners to incorporate Boise State student-athletes into sponsorship opportunities that use the Boise State logos and branding. She started her career at Boise State as a graduate assistant with the Business Development and Revenue Innovation department from 2022-24. A former softball student-athlete, Bruner has a bachelor's degree in public relations and a master's in business administration from Quinnipiac to go with her master's degree in athletic leadership from Boise State.
The currently open position of Assistant Athletic Director, BroncoPRO will manage the day-to-day activities for BroncoPRO while creating innovative revenue generating concepts and business development strategies. They will also be responsible for serving as one of the main organizational liaisons for all Boise State student-athletes as they pursue authentic NIL opportunities. The role will contribute with athlete onboarding and education, revenue-share scenario planning, contract management and athlete agency relations.
Pending the final approval of the House settlement in the spring of 2025, Boise State has provided its intent to opt-in and anticipates sharing revenue with its student-athletes consistent with the final terms of the settlement.
About BroncoPRO
In November 2024, Boise State announced the formation of BroncoPRO (Professional Resources Organization). The unit within the Boise State Athletics department will provide turnkey NIL and revenue-sharing services for Bronco student-athletes. The focus of BroncoPRO will be recruiting and retaining student-athletes while providing custom brand development services. It will also provide NIL and BroncoLife programming for all Boise State student-athletes to better equip the Broncos for life after graduation.
