Boise State Garners Three Mountain West Weekly Accolades

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sydney Leitch, Emily Lopez and Alyssa Vulaj each garnered Mountain West weekly honors following their performances against No. 21 Southern Utah on March 7.
 
Leitch earned MW Bars Specialist of the Week, Lopez received MW Beam Specialist of the Week while Vulaj picked up MW Vault Specialist of the Week.
 
The specialist of the week honor is awarded to the highest-scoring athlete in each event weekly.
 
Leitch scored a career-high 9.875 on bars to tie for second place at the meet. The junior led the Broncos to a 49.225 team score on the event as she earned her first weekly honor of her career.
 
Lopez was named beam champion for the first time this season and seventh time in her career. The fifth year scored a season-high 9.900 on the apparatus to receive her first MW beam weekly honor this season and third of her career. Lopez now holds 17 MW weekly honors in total.
 
Vulaj secured her fifth vault title of the season, bringing her career count to nine. Vulaj recorded a 9.875 on the event as she tallied her third MW weekly honor, all on vault.
 
The Broncos return to ExtraMile Arena for the last home meet of the season. They will face No. 22 Southern Utah on Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
