Broncos to Participate in 17th-Straight NCAA Regional

INDIANAPOLIS – Boise State gymnastics was selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Regional Championships, the NCAA announced during the ESPN Selection Show.
The Broncos will travel to Salt Lake City, hosted by Utah, to compete against UCLA, Minnesota and Southern Utah from April 2-6.
Boise State has qualified for regionals in each of the past 17 seasons (canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). The last time the team missed out on regionals was 2007.
Head coach Tina Bird has been to regionals every year she's been at the helm of the program, with the current streak starting her first season in 2008.
The Broncos concluded the regular season with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.115, ranking 30th nationally.
Utah is one of four host sites that will send two teams, an all-arounder and four event specialists to the national championships in Fort Worth, Texas, April 17 and 19.
The top 36 teams based on NQS are selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Regional Championships. The NCAA selection committee will identify the top 16 teams and seed them in the bracket. Teams 17-36 will be placed geographically at one of the four regional sites.
Regional sites will host the first, second and final rounds of competition over a three-day period. The first round will consist of two teams, second round will consist of eight and the regional final will consist of four.
The National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championships will consist of eight teams, four all-around competitors and 16 event specialists. The top two teams and the top all-around competitor (who is not advancing with a team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships. In addition, the top event specialist in each event (not an all-arounder or advancing with a team) will advance to the national championship in that event only.
