Thompson Named MW All-Conference

3/9/2025 12:00:00 PM | Women's Basketball

LAS VEGAS – Tatum Thompson was named to the 10-player All-Mountain West team, the conference announced as part of its postseason awards, Sunday.

The award marks the second-straight season that a Boise State player has been represented on the team after Natalie Pasco took home the honor last season.

Thompson had a breakout season for the Blue and Orange, leading the team in scoring (13.2 points per game), rebounding (6.8 rebounds per game) and steals (1.2 steals per game). The junior was also effective from the charity stripe, becoming the 11th Bronco in program history to bury over 100 free throws in a season.

The Woodinville, Wash., native elevated her game in league games, averaging 15.2 points and 8.2 rebounds against conference opponents. Thompson was efficient from the floor, shooting 51.9% from the field in MW contests, the fourth-highest among MW players.

Over the season, the junior recorded seven double-doubles, scored over 20 points five times, and had three games with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds. From Jan. 11-21, Thompson had a stretch with four consecutive double-doubles, marking the first time a Bronco has had four consecutive double-doubles since Shalen Shaw in 2015-16. During that stretch, Thompson was named the MW Player of the Week on Jan. 20, the second time she has taken home the honor in her career.

Thompson and the No. 8 Broncos will kick off MW postseason action later today with a 3 p.m. MT tipoff against No. 9 Nevada. The winner of the game, which will be broadcast on the MW Network, will face top-seeded UNLV at 1 p.m. MT on Monday, March 10.
