Rueck Earns Conference Honors in Second Consecutive Year
BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's golfer Cole Rueck was named to the All-Mountain West Men's Golf Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
The 2025 all-conference team consists of 10 golfers from five Mountain West institutions. Rueck is joined by Christoph Bleier (Colorado State), Mesa Falleur (New Mexico), Carson Herron (New Mexico), Chanachon Chokprajakchat (San Diego State), Justin Hastings (San Diego State), Tyler Kowack (San Diego State), Harry Takis (San Diego State), Caden Fioroni (UNLV) and Zach Little (UNLV).
Rueck, who garnered the distinction as a sophomore a year ago, joins Hugo Townsend (2021-22) as the only Broncos to be selected to the All-Mountain West Team on multiple occasions. Dating back to 1972, Rueck is the ninth Boise State golfer to earn multiple all-conference nods.
This season, Rueck produced seven top-10 finishes and won the Genesis Collegiate Showcase and Loyola Intercollegiate. Additionally, he was victorious in the Second Annual Battle of Idaho dual, which took place between Boise State and University of Idaho.
Defending his 2024 Mountain West individual title, Rueck shot 10-under and placed seventh in the 2025 conference championship. He carded a 68 in each of the first two rounds before shooting a 70 in the final 18 holes.
Building on his sophomore campaign, Rueck averaged 71.1 strokes per round, signifying the sixth-best mark by a Bronco in a single season. He rose up the national leaderboard by 211 spots and is now ranked 234th in the nation.
