
Four Broncos Named WGCA All-American Scholars

BOISE, Idaho – Four Boise State women's golfers were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the organization announced. Annie Buffolino, Jillian Hui, Teal Matsueda and Brooke Patterson were recognized for their efforts on the course and in the classroom.

Buffolino played in six events for the Broncos in 2024-25, helping Boise State capture the team title at Mountain Classic Match Play. This is the second time she has been named an All-American Scholar, adding to a list of awards that includes two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MW.

Hui appeared in nine tournaments, including The Clash at Boulder Creek, where she fired a career-best 210 (-6) that is the second-lowest three-round score in program history. She tied for ninth and helped the Broncos set school records for two-round and three-round scores. This is the second-straight year Hui has captured All-American Scholar honors.

Matsueda played in all 10 tournaments, averaging 73.33 strokes per round, the second-best single-season mark in school history. She posted seven top-25 finishes and was named All-MW Second Team. This is her second WGCA All-American Scholar honor. She has also been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District 7 and MW Scholar-Athlete.

Patterson appeared in all 10 events for Boise State, tying for ninth at The Clash at Boulder Creek with a 210 (-6), the second-best 54-hole score in school history. She also won all three matches at Mountain Classic Match Play to lead the Broncos to the team title. This is her second-career WGCA All-American Scholar selection.

To be named a WGCA All-American Scholar, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and play in at least 50 percent of the team's tournaments. This year, 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs were honored.
