BOISE, Idaho – Boise State offensive tackle Kage Casey was selected to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the second-straight year, the Football Writers Association of America announced.

This is the fifth-consecutive season a Bronco has been tabbed to the watch list. The streak began in 2021 with Jake Stetz, then continued when current NFL players Scott Matlock and John Ojukwu were picked in 2022. Cade Beresford earned a spot on the 2023 watch list before Casey secured his nod in 2024. The 2025 watch list includes 50 players, with Casey and Wyoming center Jack Walsh representing the Mountain West.

The redshirt junior has been named Preseason All-America by Walter Camp (First Team), Athlon Sports (Second Team) and Phil Steele (Fourth Team) while earning Preseason All-MW and a spot on the Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist. In 2024, he was honored as an All-American by five outlets, including second team selection from The Athletic and Walter Camp.

A native of Happy Valley, Oregon, Casey paved the way for an offense that ranked in the nation's top 10 in rushing (240.4 ypg), total yards (466.0 ypg), scoring (37.3 ppg), 3rd down conversions (49.5%) and first downs (328) last year. The Broncos also ran for a school-record 3,365 yards. The Clackamas HS product did not allow a sack in 440 opportunities, earning a 99.3 Pro Football Focus blocking efficiency that ranked third among FBS offensive tackles.

The FWAA will announce Outland Trophy semifinalists on Nov. 19 at a reception in Omaha. Three finalists will be announced on Nov. 25 on ESPN. The 80th recipient of the Outland Trophy will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN on Friday, Dec. 12. The official trophy presentation to the winner will be made at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner sponsored by Werner Enterprises and produced by the Greater Omaha Sports Committee on Jan. 21, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska.
