
Cushman, Meyer, Rueck Named 2024-25 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's golfers Luke Cushman, Ryan Meyer and Cole Rueck were named 2024-25 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America (CGAA) Scholars, it was announced on Tuesday.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior, both academically and athletically. Additionally, all honorees must participate in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career GPA of 3.2.

Among the 2024-25 scholars are 548 NCAA Division I athletes from 188 institutions. The Mountain West garnered 32 selections from 10 of its 11 schools, with eight having three or more.

Cushman, a business administration major with a 3.958 overall GPA, played in all 12 team events in 2024-25. Recording a 72.78 stroke average across 36 rounds, Cushman nabbed Mountain West Golfer of the Week honors, collected his first career victory in the UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate (April 7-8) and had a top 10 finish on two other occasions.

Completing his second year at Boise State, Meyer appeared in 10 events, including all seven during the spring season, and notched a 72.93 average per round. A psychology major with a 3.628 cumulative GPA, Meyer finished two tournaments in the top 10.

Rueck, who capped his junior campaign with his second-consecutive All-Mountain West selection, produced a 70.47 average over 36 rounds, which is the fourth-best single-season mark in program history (min. 15 rounds). With a 3.652 GPA as a finance major, Rueck won the Genesis Collegiate Showcase (Feb. 10) and the Loyola Intercollegiate (Feb. 16-18) as part of his six top 10 finishes last season.

With their performance in the classroom, all three Broncos were named All-Mountain West Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 academic year. They also earned Spring Academic All-Mountain West honors for their efforts during the second semester.
