Historic year positions department for new era of college athletics

BOISE, Idaho - Thanks to the overwhelming support of Bronco Nation, Boise State Athletics raised $27.2 million in donations and commitments in the 2025 fiscal year. The mark is 14% higher than last year's mark and is the fourth consecutive year the department has exceeded $20 million.

"Bronco Nation, thank you for embracing EPIC," said Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State Director of Athletics. "This year helped show we are never finished, and we will be Bar Raisers. From providing opportunities with scholarships and student-athlete development to creating some of the best facilities and experiences in the country, Bronco Nation's commitment to our student-athletes, coaches and staff continues to make a difference on and off the field. We're grateful for everyone who chose to give back in any way, especially as we work towards hitting our BAA membership goal of 10,000 this year. What's Next!"

The annual total is in addition to the historic $25 million gift received from the Allen and Billie Dee Noble estate in October 2024, the largest one-time gift in the history of Boise State University.

Philanthropic support towards Boise State Athletics drives the Broncos' competitive and academic excellence for all 350+ student-athletes, which resulted in 16 team and individual conference championships this past year and a record-tying 3.46 cumulative GPA for all student-athletes.

Fundraising highlights for the year include:

  • 21% increase in Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) donors
  • $552,529 raised on Bronco Giving Day
  • 288 Lyle Smith Society members

The announcement follows Monday's report from the Boise State Foundation that it had a record-setting year in philanthropic support totaling $102 million as part of the Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State University. Since the Unbridled campaign publicly launched in October 2023, it has raised more than $453 million of its $500 million goal. The campaign is scheduled to conclude in 2028.

Boise State Athletics has raised more than $186.4 million within the Unbridled campaign.

Since the launch in 2020, Lyle Smith Society has raised more than $35 million.

The Lyle Smith Society is a leadership giving group to support Boise State Athletics, established to increase philanthropic revenues, providing consistent funding for scholarships, operational needs, and capital projects. Members of the Lyle Smith Society enjoy unique stewardship opportunities and benefits based on giving level while maintaining the flexibility to direct each gift to the fund of their choice.
