BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State Orange team won the annual Blue-Orange scrimmage Thursday night in Bronco Gym over the Boise State Blue team by a 2-1 score. The scrimmage was the first time this summer for Boise State fans to see the new look Broncos featuring eight returners and seven newcomers.
"I'm really excited about what we were able to accomplish tonight during the scrimmage," said Boise State Head Coach Shawn Garus. "One, our fans were able to get a first look at some of the new pieces that we have on the team. And two, we were able to see our players mixing it up in a competitive environment and getting the juices flowing a little bit with the fans and energy in the gym. It was great to get that match-day experience for the newcomers, complete with music, the video board, and all that stuff. Overall, I think it's a great start to what we have in store for this season."
The Orange Team won set one by four points, 25-21. The Blues came back to take the second set after erasing a six-point deficit to win in extra points 28-26. The decisive third set went to the Orange by a 15-7 score, clinching the match 2-1.
The Broncos have already sold out of their reserved season tickets for 2025, marking the fourth consecutive year that reserved tickets have sold out. However, general admission season tickets are still available, so don't wait to buy yours today. Â
