
Sixteen Broncos Named WCGA Scholastic All-America

BOISE, Idaho – Sixteen members of the Boise State gymnastics team were named Scholastic All-America by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association, the WCGA announced. The Broncos earned a team GPA of 3.7534, ranked 16th in the NCAA, the team's second-straight season securing the nation's 16th-highest GPA. Below are Boise State's Scholastic All-Americans.

"Being ranked 16th in the nation academically is an incredible accomplishment and I couldn't be more proud of this team," said head coach Tina Bird. "As head coach, I've seen firsthand the dedication, discipline and heart these student-athletes pour into both their sport and their studies. They continue to set the standard for what it means to be Broncos: leaders in the gym and in the classroom."

Emily Lopez, Julia Melchert and Dani Nakayama each earned their fifth-career Scholastic All-America honor, with Emma Loyim, Elaina McGovern and Alyssa Vulaj securing their fourth. Three-time selections include Anna Ferguson, Kylee Hamby, Sydney Leitch and Blake Pascal, with Julia Kryzwanski and Brantley Lucas adding their second accolade. Noelle Ball, Bridget Kemp, Sydney Kho and Kristina Shchennikova were each recognized for the first time.

Student-athletes earn WCGA Scholastic All-America by compiling a 3.5 cumulative GPA or achieving a 3.5 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year. This year, a WCGA-record 1,218 gymnasts were recognized, including 302 that recorded a 4.00 GPA.
