New feature helps maximize every minute before and after fans enter Albertsons Stadium
BOISE, Idaho – In preparation for the upcoming football season, Boise State Athletics has launched a brand-new interactive gameday map, building off the university's existing digital map system, to help Bronco Nation find the fastest routes to food, fun, and football both outside of Albertsons Stadium and inside the venue. The map is accessible via the BroncoSports app and will include information related to parking, game day activities, concessions menus, restroom locations, ADA accessibility, and will also provide turn-by-turn directions based upon your location and destination. The interactive map will be continually updated ahead of the Broncos home opener on Friday, September 5.
The Bronco Sports App is packed with videos, schedules, stats, team information, fan guides, interactive opportunities, mobile ticketing and concessions, search for Boise State Broncos in the App Store. Once the app is downloaded, scroll through the menu located at the bottom of the screen and click on map.
Prior to home games, the Bronco football team will take part in the Bronco Walk from the Student Union Building to Albertsons Stadium. The Bronco Walk begins two hours and forty-five minutes prior to kickoff at each home game.
The Ford Fan Zone, located on the Hall of Fame Plaza and inside DeChevrieux Field, is open to everyone for free. The space features a kids' play area, yard games like cornhole and spikeball, hassle-free tailgating, Bronco-themed photo stations, and more. Fans can also lock in their own private tailgate spot today by visiting Boise State Tailgate.
With the North End Zone under construction, Bronco Alley, located on the east side of Albertsons Stadium, will shift south toward Entry 2. Bronco Alley will feature food trucks, extra beverage stands, and additional restrooms. The food truck lineup may vary from game to game depending on vendor availability. Food and beverage items purchased in Bronco Alley are permitted to be taken in and out of the stadium, similar to previous years, but are not permitted outside of the black stadium perimeter fencing. Areas will be clearly marked.
As announced in June, the Blue and Orange Store is the official source for apparel and merchandise at all Boise State Athletics events and will have six permanent merchandise kiosks for every Bronco football game. The locations of the merchandise kiosks are listed below.
Outside of Albertsons Stadium
Corner of Broadway & University
Outside of DeChevrieux Field (east side)
Bronco Alley, street level, east side of Albertsons Stadium
Hall of Fame (open to all fans until four hours before kickoff)
Inside Albertsons Stadium
Upper West Concourse, right inside Entry 3
RR Ranch Club - Stueckle Sky Center
Once inside the stadium, traditional fan entertainment and promotions return, including the Keith and Catherine Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band, Blitz, Bronco Girl, and Blue Chaos Flag to name a few.
With over 220 members, the Keith and Catherine Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band will celebrate its 39th Anniversary in 2025. The band will have a new home base in the south end zone, sections 31 and 131.
Cathy Jo Ayotte, aka Bronco Girl, is back with her favorite Bronco, Petey, to lead the Boise State football team onto The BLUE.
The Blue Chaos Flag returns in 2025 with an all-new game day twist. Moments before kickoff, in the southwest corner of the stadium, a legend will rally Bronco Nation to unleash 100-plus decibels of noise, signaling game readiness. With the crowd roaring, the legend will ignite the flame to cue the tower crane operator to raise the flag at the end of the 160-foot crane positioned in the north end zone.
Now entering its third season, fan favorite, the Double R Ranch Franken Flinger will shoot t-shirts into the stands.
The team will expand the use of the LED lights, incorporating more light show enhancements throughout the game that will be synchronized to music via a new audio system to provide more immersive sound throughout the stadium.
Fans interested in making their game day stand-out are invited to check out premium and one-of-a-kind experiences including special occasion custom videoboard messages and 4th quarter field here. Prices vary by game and supplies are limited.
