Investment is designated for the North End Zone Project

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has received a $1 million gift from locally-based Alturas. The donation has been designated to the North End Zone Project and renews its membership in the Lyle Smith Society, a leadership group established to increase philanthropic revenues to support Boise State Athletics. Alturas owns and operates a diversified group of businesses in construction, real estate, and other industries throughout the Intermountain West, with headquarters in the Treasure Valley.

"We're incredibly grateful for the support of Alturas and their investment in the future of Bronco Athletics," said Jeramiah Dickey, Director of Athletics. "When local companies step up to support our vision, it strengthens our department, the University, and the entire Treasure Valley community. Support like this is vital to bringing transformative projects like the North End Zone Project to life and ensure our student-athletes have a championship-level experience."

"We believe in the mission of Boise State University and Bronco Athletics as they bring exposure to Boise, the Treasure Valley, and the entire state of Idaho," said Blake Hansen, Founder and CEO of Alturas. "We are proud to support Boise State and Bronco student-athletes. Their blue-collar mentality drives their success, and we've had the privilege of hiring many talented students from Boise State who have helped us grow and expand across Idaho and the region. We look forward to supporting Bronco Athletics and the University for years to come."

The North End Zone Project, which broke ground on Jan. 4, will take the student-athlete and fan experience to new heights. In addition to creating a 360-degree concourse, the North End Zone Project will add approximately 1,600 seats to Albertsons Stadium and feature 12 field level suites, 44 loge boxes, 148 ledge seats, 872 club seats with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage amenities. It will also serve all 18 Boise State programs and 350+ student-athletes through the Simplot Nutrition Lounge.

Construction is on track for completion prior to the 2026 football season.
