Boise State Cross Country Ranks Second in Mountain West Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State's men's and women's cross country teams placed second in the 2025 Mountain West Preseason Poll, the conference announced on Wednesday.

"Being ranked second in the preseason poll illustrates the strides and improvement we've made as a program," head coach Pat McCurry said. "We are excited for the upcoming season, and our sole focus is to be the best version of ourselves by championship time."

In the women's poll, the Broncos were picked second with 111 points and one first-place vote. New Mexico was selected as the frontrunner with 11 first-place votes (121 points), while Colorado State (94 points) and Utah State (85 points) finished third and fourth, respectively.
 
With 61 points, Boise State's men's team ranked second in their preseason poll. Receiving 81 points, the Lobos were tabbed as the favorite, with Wyoming (60 points, third), Air Force (57, T-4th) and Utah State (57 points, T-4th) rounding out the top five.
 
The Broncos will begin the 2025 campaign at the Lewis & Clark Opener in Portland, Ore. on Aug. 29.
