Boise State Opens 2025 Season at Lewis and Clark Opener

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State cross country opens the 2025 season at the Lewis & Clark Opener, Friday.
 
"It will be great to knock the dust off of our spikes this weekend in Portland, and launch the racing careers of some of our newest Broncos," Boise State Head Coach Pat McCurry said.
 
The Lewis and Clark Opener features three newcomers from both the men's and women's teams. Emme Hamm, Lily LaPorte and Eliisa Marshall will participate in the women's 5k, while Ezra Teeples, Jack Sheesley and Cody Lucas will make their collegiate debuts for the Blue and Orange in the men's 5k.
 
NOTABLES
  • Head Coach Pat McCurry enters his second season at the helm of Boise State's cross country program. He previously served as an assistant with the Broncos from 2016-18, and also was the head coach at College of Idaho and San Francisco.
  • The Lewis and Clark Opener serves as the first of four regular season events during cross country season.
  • Between the men's and women's teams six Broncos will make their collegiate debuts.
  • Haley Blaine and Nanette Novak are making their Boise State cross country debuts.
  • The women's 5k is set for 10:30 a.m. MT and the men's 5k will follow at 11:00 a.m. MT.
