OREM, Utah – Boise State used a dominating team effort to sweep the Montana Grizzlies 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 in the second of two matches Friday at the Utah Valley Invitational in Orem, Utah. The win was the second of the day for the Blue and Orange, who improved to 2-0 overall.

The Broncos came out quickly in all three sets, taking early leads in the victory. The first was tight down the stretch, while the other two saw Boise State maintain sizeable leads throughout as it claimed the first sweep of the season.

Top Broncos

Kailyn Jager became the first Bronco this year to record two matches in double-figure kills, finishing with a team-high 11 to go with one service ace and one block assist for a team-best 12.5 points.
Giselle Paedon followed with eight kills and four block assists for 10 points.
Eliza Sharp had three kills and a team-high 10 blocks, three were solos, ending the match with 9.5 points.
Lilli Etter recorded the lone double-double of the contest on a team-high 20 assists and 10 digs.

Getting her first action as a Bronco was Jazi Smith – a transfer – who finished with six kills and one block assist for 6.5 points; she hit .364.
Eliza Sharp recorded 10 blocks, the first to reach that total since Annie Kaminski on Oct. 24, 2024; it was the 26th 10-plus blocks match by a Bronco in the rally scoring era (since 2001).
Etter has recorded back-to-back double-doubles to start the season; she now has nine in her career.
Boise State recorded 12 blocks as a team.
The Broncos have now defeated the Grizzlies each of the last three seasons, closing their deficit in the series to 22-20.
