
Boise State Receives 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's golf is a recipient of the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, it was announced on Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

"I'm extremely proud of the effort and success we had in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year," said head coach David Trainor. "Our guys take their academics very seriously, and as their coach, I'm thankful to have the right student-athletes representing Boise State."

Across six divisions in college athletics, 292 schools earned a PLATFORMÂ Golf Team Academic Award, setting a GCAA record. Among the recipients, 167 NCAA Division I institutions posted a 3.0 or higher cumulative team GPA last year and were recognized on the Presidents Special Recognition list (3.5+ GPA) or as an All-Academic Team selection (3.0+ GPA).

Collectively, the Broncos notched a 3.418 GPA, with seven of nine student-athletes posting a 3.0 or higher. Luke Cushman led the team with a 3.949, while Jake Slocum recorded a 3.9.

The Mountain West had representation from nine of its 11 members. San Jose State and Wyoming made the Presidents Special Recognition list, while seven schools were an All-Academic Team selection.
