BOISE, Idaho – The 2025 NFL season continues the second week of action with nine players and one head coach representing Boise State. Four Broncos will compete in primetime showdowns, with John Bates and Jeremy McNichols leading the Washington Commanders in a Thursday night showdown at Green Bay. The game will air on Prime Video at 6:15 p.m. MT. The second contest of a Monday Night Football doubleheader will feature Ashton Jeanty (Raiders) and Scott Matlock (Chargers) meeting on ESPN at 8 p.m. Below is information on all seven games. All times listed are Mountain.
THURSDAY
Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) at Green Bay Packers – Prime Video, 6:15 p.m.
John Bates made his 26th career start, playing 37 offensive snaps and 11 special teams snaps in the Commanders' 21-6 win over the New York Giants. He was the team's highest-graded run blocker, garnering a 73.1 Pro Football Focus grade. Washington's ground game was dominant, averaging nearly 7.0 yards per carry and finishing with 220 yards, second-most in the league. Jeremy McNichols contributed 25 rushing yards on four attempts, picking up a pair of first downs to secure the win.
SUNDAY
Buffalo Bills (Khalil Shakir) at New York Jets – CBS, 11 a.m.
Khalil Shakir caught six passes for 64 yards in Buffalo's comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills trailed by 15 with four minutes remaining but scored 16 unanswered points to capture a 41-40 win. Shakir had a reception on the first play of Buffalo's game-winning drive, which ended with a successful field goal as time expired.
Jacksonville Jaguars (Ezra Cleveland) at Cincinnati Bengals – CBS, 11 a.m.
Ezra Cleveland played all 66 offensive snaps in Jacksonville's 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. The offensive guard has played every offensive snap in 63 of his 78 career games. The Jaguars were one of three teams to rush for at least 200 yards in Week One, finishing with 6.3 yards per attempt.
Seattle Seahawks (George Holani, DeMarcus Lawrence) at Pittsburgh Steelers – FOX, 11 a.m.
DeMarcus Lawrence posted six tackles, including two tackles for loss, in his Seattle debut. This marks his ninth-career game with at least six tackles and two TFLs. Lawrence also recovered a blocked field goal in the Seahawks' 17-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. George Holani played a career-high 15 snaps, all on special teams. He posted one tackle on kickoff coverage.
New Orleans Saints (Kellen Moore) vs. San Francisco 49ers – FOX, 11 a.m.
Kellen Moore made his NFL head coaching debut with the New Orleans Saints, dropping a 20-13 contest to the Arizona Cardinals. The Saints totaled 315 yards of offense and gained 21 first downs.
Denver Broncos (JL Skinner) at Indianapolis Colts – CBS, 2:05 p.m.
JL Skinner played 23 special teams snaps in Denver's 20-12 win over the Tennessee Titans. This was the second-most on the team and marked his 12th-career game playing at least 20 snaps on special teams.
MONDAY
Las Vegas Raiders (Ashton Jeanty) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (Scott Matlock) – ESPN, 8 p.m.
Ashton Jeanty made his NFL debut in the Raiders' 20-13 win over the New England Patriots, scoring his first-career touchdown and totaling 40 yards from scrimmage. His 3-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter gave Las Vegas a 13-10 lead it maintained for the rest of the game. The running back forced four missed tackles and gained 44 yards after contact. Scott Matlock played 19 offensive snaps and five special teams snaps in the Chargers' 27-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Matlock was Los Angeles' third-highest run blocker according to PFF, earning a 66.6 rating as the team totaled 394 yards of offense.
