BOISE, Idaho — Boise State snapped its four-game losing streak and defeated Colorado State, 79-73, on Friday night at ExtraMile Arena.

Four Broncos (10-8, 2-5 Mountain West) scored in double figures against the Rams (11-7, 2-5 MW). Dylan Andrews paced all players with game-high 21 points on five made field goals.

Andrew Meadow tallied 15 points, four rebounds and one assist, while Drew Fielder notched 11 points, eight boards and four assists. In his return to game action, Javan Buchanan had 10 points, five rebounds and four steals in 24 minutes played.

For Colorado State, Brandon Rechsteiner and Rashaan Mbemba each scored 17 points to lead the team. Rechsteiner added five rebounds and three assists, and Mbemba shot 6-for-7 from the field.

Off the bench, Jevin Muniz totaled 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Josh Pascarelli pitched in with 10 points and four boards.

From an offensive standpoint, Boise State came out of the gate hot. The Broncos made five of their first nine shots attempts and were up by two upon reaching the first media timeout.

Maintaining the lead throughout the entire first half, Boise State pushed its advantage to double figures with 4:42 remaining in the period. Meadow poured in a long three-pointer, putting the home team ahead 34-22.

With Boise State owning its largest lead of the frame, Colorado State rattled off an 8-2 spurt to trim its deficit to six. Answering the Rams' run, Andrews capped the half by knocking down a three to push the lead back to nine.

Collectively, the Broncos shot 52 percent from the field in the half, with seven players recording at least one field goal. Andrews and Buchanan led the team with a combined 18 points and Boise State led 39-30 at the intermission.

Colorado State struck first in the second period, but the Broncos tallied 10 points in the first four minutes. A pair of threes by Meadow and RJ Keene II, along with four free throws by Buchanan and Dominic Parolin, extended the team's lead to 12, matching the largest of the first half.

Responding promptly, the Rams scored 10 of the next 12 points which forced an immediate timeout by Boise State at the 11:41 mark. Two and a half minutes later, Colorado State completely erased the 12-point deficit and took its first lead of the evening.

The Rams' lead was brief as Boise State mounted a run of their own. Using a 16-4 stretch, the Broncos forged ahead, 70-59, with 3:46 on the clock.

From there, Boise State cruised to the finish line. The Rams pulled to within five inside of a minute remaining, but that's as close as Colorado State would get.
