BOISE, Idaho – Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson announced the promotions of Marques White and Collin McKelvey on Wednesday.

White has been elevated to be an associate director of sports performance and will serve as the lead assistant to director of sports performance Benjamin Hilgart. He will help design and implement all aspects of the Broncos' sports performance program.

In addition to his role as an assistant director of sports performance, McKelvey will add the director of sports science to his list of responsibilities. In his new role, he will use various programs to research, collect and analyze student-athlete data to identify trends and improve athletic performance.

White has served as an assistant director of strength and conditioning with the Broncos since the 2024 season. He joined the team after serving as the assistant director of strength and conditioning at Mercer, where he was responsible for managing the graduate assistant intern curriculum. He also spent the 2021 season at Mercer in a similar role, two stints that were sandwiched between a year at West Alabama as the director of strength and conditioning.

Prior to his time with Mercer, White has experience working as an intern with Fresno State and UNLV, and has held previous positions at Granite Bay Fitness, Susquehanna, EBA Pharaohs Basketball Academy, Fitness Evolution and Athletic Performance. He earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Thomas Edison State in 2018 and received his Master's in applied exercise science in 2020 from Concordia University Chicago.

McKelvey has been a part of the Bronco program since 2022, where he joined as a strength and conditioning intern. He was promoted to an undergraduate strength and conditioning assistant for the 2024-25 season before moving over to an assistant director role for the 2025 campaign.
