Adu-Gyamfi Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Priscilla Adu-Gyamfi earned Mountain West Women's Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Adu-Gyamfi receives the recognition following her performance at the Mark Colligan Memorial. She joins Aayden Simmons as the second Bronco this season to earn weekly freshman honors.

Competing in her second meet as a Bronco, Adu-Gyamfi posted a time of 55.76 in the women's 400-meters, earning a bronze finish. The mark ranks sixth in the MW this season and is the fastest among conference freshmen.

The Cypress, Texas, native also competed on the women's 4x400-meter relay, helping the Broncos to a third-place finish and adding seven more points for the team.

The Broncos will return to action at the UW Invitational in Seattle on Jan. 30-31.
