BOISE, Idaho – Boise State is ranked No. 23 in the latest iteration of the Associated Press Top 25 poll that was released on Sunday.
The Broncos (4-1, 1-0 Pac-12), who were ranked No. 22 a week ago, tallied 271 points in the rankings, an increase from the 221 points the squad accrued last week. The Broncos are the only Pac-12 team and Group of Six team represented in the AP Poll.
Boise State earned 161 points in the US LBM Coaches Poll, two spots shy of the top 25. The Broncos had 112 points in the poll last week.
The ranking comes after Boise State dismantled Utah State, 37-18, to earn its first Pac-12 victory of the season. The Broncos never looked back after scoring the game's first 21 points in front of Albertson Stadium's 16th consecutive regular season sellout. The Blue and Orange totaled 429 yards of total offense and recorded six sacks defensively en route to claiming the victory.
Following Saturday's victory over the Aggies, Boise State boasts a 130-24 record (84.4%) as a ranked team since joining the FBS ranks in 1996. The Broncos are 42-13 (76.4%) as a ranked squad in the College Football Playoff era.
Boise State will hit the road to face off against Fresno State on Saturday, Oct. 10. The game will kick off at 8:30 p.m. MT and will broadcast nationally on The CW.Â
