Broncos Earn Additional Bid to AVCA National Pairs Championship

Allen, Demirjian Finish Second at Alki to Claim Another Spot
SEATTLE – Avery Allen and Keira Demirjian finished second at the Alki AVCA Qualifier on Sunday, securing Boise State beach volleyball an additional bid to the AVCA National Pairs Championship later this fall.
The Broncos, who earned a bid prior to the season based on its 2026 spring season results, will send two pairs for the National Pairs Championship for the third consecutive season. The event features 64 pairs from across the country, with a maximum of two pairs per school allowed.
After winning both of their pool play matches, Allen and Demirjian cruised through the first two rounds of bracket play with straight-set victories to secure a place in the semifinals. After dropping the first set 21-18, the duo won 22-20 in set two to set up a 15-11 third-set finish to earn a spot in the championship match, effectively securing the program the bid. The pair lost to Washington's Maya May Brown and Ellis Hay in the championship. The duo finished the weekend with a 5-1 record.Â
Kate MacDonald and Addison Wolden reached the quarterfinal round of the bid division and finished the weekend 4-1. In the open division, Kayla Ihrig and Luna Ingaramo finished a perfect 5-0, while Charlee Ellena and Vivian Roberts finished 4-1.
