Grignac Earns Weekly Freshman Honor for Second Consecutive Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State women's tennis player Carla Grignac earned her second consecutive Mountain West Freshman of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.

Grignac has now earned four total weekly awards, three of which are freshman honors. Her four awards are the most of any player this season, and she is tied with Utah State's Terezia Mlkva for the most freshman weekly awards this season.

The Dakar, Senegal, native helped Boise State close out its regular season with a 4-1 win over Utah State. She earned a 6-1 doubles victory with partner Lorelyz Marruffo and led her singles match 3-0 before the Broncos clinched the team victory.

The Boise State women's tennis team enters the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will play the winner of No. 7 Nevada vs. No. 10 Colorado State on April 23 at 11 a.m. MT.
