BOISE, Idaho – Boise State beach volleyball player Allyson Alden has been named to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team.
The award is presented to 20 student-athletes across all NCAA-sanctioned sports in the spring season who go above and beyond in volunteer work and civic engagement that compliments their achievements in their respective sport. As part of the recognition, honorees receive monetary contributions from Allstate to further support their community service.
Alden was selected from 137 student-athletes who were nominated for the award. Of the 20 spring recipients, Alden is the only beach volleyball player represented. Alden is the first Boise State student-athlete to be recognized to the Good Works Team.
Â
Prior to the 2026 campaign, Alden founded the Block Party fundraising campaign, which asked donors to make a monetary contribution for each ace or block the sixth-year senior recorded on the year. On the season, Alden recorded 77 aces and 84 blocks. All proceeds for the campaign, which is still accepting one-time donations until Friday, May 8, will go to BroncoBOLD in an effort to raise awareness for student-athletes who are struggling with mental health.Â
Â
In the team's first year competing against Big 12 competition, Alden finished 22-13 on the season. She played a majority of her matches from the top court, where she finished 13-12 while also boasting a 9-1 mark from the No. 2 position. She won eight duals against ranked opponents on the year.
