Skip Hall to Raise Blue Chaos Flag on Saturday

BOISE, Idaho – Former Boise State football head coach Skip Hall will raise the Blue Chaos flag ahead of Saturday's matchup with South Dakota.
"It's a great honor to raise the Blue Chaos flag," Hall said. "I'm excited to be there and bring back a lot of memories. It's an honor to be a part of this, as a former coach and a fan. It's an honor to be a part of the program. There are not many programs that has the success that Boise State has had, and to be a part of it is truly an honor."
Hall coached the Broncos 1987-92, generating a 42-28 overall record. In his six seasons at the helm, he led Boise State to two Division I-AA postseason appearances, including a semifinal run in 1990.
"The program success speaks for itself. There's nothing better than Boise State football. The history is tremendous and the blue field is unique. Everyone is captivated by The Blue. I love how much it's a distraction to the other team. It's really unique to be associated with the team that has the blue field."
Hall's 42 victories as head coach are the seventh-most in program history. He won 27 Big Sky conference games, the sixth-most conference victories by a Bronco head coach.
"Bronco Nation takes care of themselves. I'm honored to be able to fire them up but the truth is they'll be ready to go without me. They're always ready to play. Boise is a football town. The fans are great. I'm excited to root for a win alongside them all."
Hall will join the Bronco Tailgate Show at 6:35 p.m. MT before the game against South Dakota. Fans can listen live on KBOI 93.1 FM, 670 AM and the Varsity Network, or watch in person in front of the Boise State Hall of Fame.
Kickoff for the contest against the Coyotes is scheduled for 8 p.m. MT and will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
