Brad Kimble, MED, ATC, CES, PES joined the Boise State sports performance, health and wellness department as an Assistant Athletic Director (Football) in July 2022. He comes to the Treasure Valley with 12 years of FBS athletic training experience.
 
Prior to joining the Broncos, Kimble was the head football athletic trainer for five years at Rice (2017-22) where he worked with the Owls. While in Houston he supervised and directed the football athletic training staff including assistant athletic trainers along with graduate and undergraduate students. In addition to working with the Conference USA program, Kimble also served as Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI) for the University of Houston Master of Athletic Training Program and also directed and organized sports medicine coverage for Rice Football at the 2017 Sydney Cup in Australia.
 
His time in Texas followed six years (2011-17) as an assistant athletic trainer at Syracuse. Kimble was the head athletic trainer for field hockey in 2016 and was the head athletic trainer for the men’s soccer team. He also worked as an assistant athletic trainer for football, working closely with the associate athletic director for sports medicine.
 
Kimble was an associate athletic trainer at Baldwin Wallace from 2006-11 before joining the Orange program. While at the Division III program in Berea, Ohio, he served as head athletic trainer for football, men’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis. That followed a graduate assistant post at the Cleveland Clinic for Sports Health, where he concurrently served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with John Carroll University’s football and men’s basketball teams.
 
His first FBS experience came as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at UAB in 2003. He has also served intern roles with the Cleveland Browns (2004), New York Jets (2003), minor league hockey’s Cleveland Barons (2002-03) and minor league baseball’s Mahoning Valley Scrappers (2001-02).
 
Kimble is a 2003 graduate of Baldwin Wallace University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Fitness Management degree in 2003 and then was awarded a Master of Education degree in Exercise Science in 2006.
 
In addition to having given several invited presentations over the course of his career, Kimble also holds memberships in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the College Athletic Trainers Society. He has received certifications as a licensed athletic trainer from the Idaho Board of Medicine and is CPR/AED certified. The National Academy of Sports Medicine has also certified him as a corrective exercise specialist and as a performance enhancement specialist. Kimble is also FMS Level 2 and SFMA Level 1 certified in functional movement systems, Hawk Grips Level 2 certified in IASTM techniques and in structure and function dry needling for orthopedic rehabilitation and sport performance.
