Jackie Robinson joined the Bronco staff in the summer of 2024. Robinson joined the program after spending five seasons as the head coach at Evergreen State.
Before taking the helm of the Geoducks, Evergreen State was 0-22 and only had six players on the roster. Robinson rebuilt the program, leading the squad to the opening round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament in each of his final two seasons.
Prior to his time at Evergreen State, he was the head women’s basketball coach at Olympia High School in Olympia, Wash. He compiled a 51-44 record and earned two Coach of the Year honors. He also spent four seasons as the head coach at River Ridge High School, also notching two Coach of the Year awards and recording a 71-31 record. In his eight years total as a high school coach, Robinson totaled a record of 122-75.
He also brings a wealth of playing experience with him, playing for two seasons at Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Ala. before finishing his career at Evergreen State. With the Geoducks, he was earned all-conference honorable-mention honors during the 2000-01 campaign averaging 8.8 points per game. He helped lead the program to its first NAIA National Tournament his senior year, netting 6.7 points per game.
After graduating in 2002, Robinson played professionally in Germany and Switzerland before getting his start in women’s basketball as a coach upon his retirement.
Robinson lives in Boise alongside his wife, Kelci and his two children, Kienan and Cinaiya.
