Terra McGowan joined Boise State softball as an assistant coach in June 2024. She currently coaches catches and hitters.

McGowan spent the 2024 season as Oregon’s director of player development and analytics after a decorated career with the Ducks.

A native of Mission Viejo, California, McGowan capped her career in Eugene earning 2023 NFCA First-Team All-America honors at catcher and being named Diamond Sports National Catcher of the Year.

She was a three-time NFCA Pacific Region honoree, including a first-team selection as a senior. She was named All-Pac-12 three times, including first team as a junior and senior, the same two years she earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team.
