Broncos Face Gooding Today

BOISE, Idaho – Coach Max Eiden of the Boise Junior College and his entire squad of 23 football men will leave Boise at 7 o'clock this morning for Gooding, where the team will meet the Gooding College eleven this afternoon.

The boys will travel by car and plan to return to Boise Saturday evening.

Eiden said Friday night he would not pick his starting lineup until just before the game. Gus Urresti, hard plunging fullback, is out for several weeks with a fractured leg and Eiden has been spending the week trying to develop a substitute. Nalley and Stoddard seem to be leading for the post. Turk Kidd is in line for outside halfback and Stoddard may go in at inside half. Should Stoddard be pulled back to fullback position, Nick Carter is next in line for the halfback job.

Last year the Junior College beat Gooding twice but they have both played the College of Idaho this season and the Junior College got the worst of the exchange.

During the week the Broncos have been concentrating on a strong pass defense, expecting Gooding to take to the air. A line driving offense has also been developed.
