Broncos Travel to Utah for PING Cougar Classic

What’s Happening - The
The tournament will be held at the par 72, 6,950-yard Riverside Golf Club. The tournament will feature 36 holes on Friday, Apr. 18, and the final 18 holes on Saturday Apr. 19. Both days will open with a tee starts on hole No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Troy Merritt earned his third consecutive victory as he posted an 8-under 202 at the Cowboy Classic. He now has earned five individual tournament victories this season and six in his
Matt Hastings finished second to Merritt at the Ron Moore Invitational with a 10-under 206 for his career-best finish. Hasting is tied for second on the Bronco’s all-time list for career top 25 finishes (19) and fourth in career top 10 finishes (8).
Sophomore John Baranco has participated in all 10 tournaments for the Broncos and is averaging 72.6 strokes per round. He finished tied for second place at the Wolf Pack Classic with a career-low 5-under 211. Baranco has posted rounds of par or better in 14 of 29 rounds this year including a low round of 67 (-5) which he posted in the final round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate.
Robbie Richards is averaging 76.3 strokes per round in three tournaments. He registered a season-low 73 (+3) in the final round of the Cowboy Classic.
Tyler McDougall will be participating in his fourth tournament of the year and his first of the spring. He is averaging 79.3 strokes per round and posted a low round of 73 (+1) in the first round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate.
