BRONCOS MOVE UP ONE SPOT TO SIXTH IN BCS STANDINGS

            BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University (9-0) climbed one spot in this week's Bowl Championship Series standings from seventh to sixth following its 45-35 win at Louisiana Tech this past Friday (Nov. 6).

            While the Broncos moved up one spot in the BCS standings, it did so despite falling in the USA Today Coaches' poll and the Harris Interactive poll which makes up two-thirds of the BCS standings. 

            Boise State fell one spot in the coaches' poll from fifth to sixth, while dropping two spots in the Harris poll from fourth to sixth. 

            The BCS computer ranking, which is the average of six different computer rankings, has the Broncos at No. 6 this week.

            Florida remains at the No. 1 position in the BCS standings, while Alabama and Texas switch places at No. 2 and No. 3.  This week the Crimson Tide is second and the Longhorns are ranked third.  TCU moved up two spots to No. 4, while Cincinnati remains at the No. 5 position. 

            Boise State returns to Bronco Stadium this Saturday (Nov. 14) to face in-state rival Idaho in a 1:30 p.m. (MT) kickoff.
