CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (10/3/2010) - The Boise State University men’s golf team carded a 20-over-par 308 on day two of the Santa Clara University Cabo Collegiate Sunday afternoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  The Broncos remain in 12th-place with one day to go at the tournament. Taeksoo Kim recorded the best round of the day for Boise State with a 2-over 74.

The University of Arkansas took the lead on the team leaderboard jumping past the University of Houston with a second round score of 280 (-8) for a tourney total of 1-over 577. Houston is now in second at 9-over 585. Boise State will begin tomorrow’s final round 44 strokes out of first-place.

Clayton Kosanovich still leads Boise State after two rounds but fell 11 spots in the standings into a tie for 19th after shooting a 4-over 76 on Sunday. The sophomore now has a tournament total of 5-over 149.

SMU’s Kelly Kraft now leads on the individual side of the competition firing a 7-under 65 today for a total of 137 (-7).

Chris Byrne currently has the second-lowest score for the Broncos with a 11-over 155. The senior tallied a 7-over 79 on round two and is currently tied for 44th.

Rounding out the scoring for Boise State are Blake Brown who shot 7-over 79 today giving him a 14-over 158 after two rounds. Kim is fourth overall with a 16-over 160 followed by Scott Spiewak who sits at 22-over 166.

The SCU Cabo Collegiate finishes up tomorrow with the final round starting at 11:00 a.m. (Mountain) by shotgun start.
