All-MW Teams Include 10 from Boise State

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Boise State football team placed 10 student-athletes on the 2013 All-Mountain West Teams, the league office announced Tuesday.

Included were four named to the first team, two each on offense and defense: redshirt sophomore running back Jay Ajayi, redshirt senior left tackle Charles Leno, Jr., redshirt junior defensive end Demarcus Lawrence and redshirt senior defensive tackle Ricky Tjong-A-Tjoe.

Redshirt senior center Matt Paradis was named second-team All-MW, as were sophomore cornerback Donte Deayon and redshirt junior safety Jeremy Ioane.

Redshirt junior kicker Dan Goodale, redshirt junior wide receiver Matt Miller and sophomore wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes were named honorable mention.

Williams-Rhodes was also named honorable mention as a return specialist.

Heading into the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl, Ajayi has already rushed for 1,328 yards and 17 touchdowns on 226 carries. His yardage total is the fourth-highest in a single season in school history and ranks 17th-nationally, and his touchdown total is tied for the seventh-most in the country and are the third-most in a single season in Boise State history.

Lawrence, who was also named first-team all-league in 2012, ranks tied for 10th-nationally with 10.5 sacks, and his 1.0 per game ranks eighth in the country. His 1.8 tackles-for-loss per game is the country's second-best mark, and he had 19.5 total in 2013. His 67 tackles (34 solo) on the season were tied for the second-most by a Bronco in 2013.

Leno, a second-team honoree in 2012, has started 38-consecutive games for Boise State, including each of the last 25 at left tackle. He was a key member of an offense that finished the regular season ranked tied for 16th-nationally in scoring offense (38.8) and 24th-nationally in total offense.

Tjong-A-Tjoe started each of his 11 games played during his final collegiate campaign, ranking tied for fifth on the team with 50 tackles (20 solo).

Paradis has started each of the Broncos' last 25 games at center, while Deayon led the Broncos and ranked tied for 15th-nationally with five interceptions during the regular season. Ioane recorded 49 tackles (32 solo) on the season, tied for seventh on the team.

Both Miller and Williams-Rhodes hauled in 77 catches, tied for the team high and tied for the third-most in a single season in school history. Williams-Rhodes also led the MW in punt returns (14.6), a mark that ranked 12th-nationally.

Goodale converted on 14-of-16 field goal attempts, including a streak of 12-straight. His field goal percentage of .875 was tied for 20th in the country.
